Welcome
Hey folks and welcome to my written blog. I've been an avid writer of blogs for a while and I find that sometimes putting things into writing is easier for me!
So who am I?
I'm Tasha, also known as Geekyvlogs or occasionally known as Geekycraftz (if you know me for video gaming reasons)! I'm a person in their 30s who loves to travel and has a pet cat.
I currently work 2 jobs and create videos for my YouTube channel on the side.
I also have a chronic illness called myalgic encephalomyelitis which basically means I often run on low battery mode. In addition to this, I have anxiety that's slowly getting better (woo!)
What will this blog be about?
Honestly I'm hoping it'll be a place I can share my travel tips, including how I planned the Japan trip my partner and I went on in March 2023. I hope that this blog can help some people who struggle to plan itineraries! I also want it to become a place for others to share their tips!
How often will you post?
I'm currently aiming for once every two weeks. That'll allow me to build up a backlog and hopefully mean I can keep up with this alongside everything else I do in life!
Where have you travelled to most?
As a kid we went on a LOT of £9 holidays from the Sun newspaper. My gran would get the vouchers from one of her friends and drive us around the country. I've been across England, from Dorset to Hadrian's Wall. I've been to Edinburgh and a variety of small towns in Wales. I remember bits of it, including the time we went to the Isle of Wight and I broke a tooth!
As an adult, I absolutely fell in love with Disneyland Paris so that's where I've travelled to the most. I have been in pretty much all seasons and am the go-to friend that people ask to plan their DLP holidays! It probably helps that I once worked for a travel agent...
Where are you off to next?
Well, I'm heading to Dorset in July for 3 days. We're driving, which is unusual as I prefer the train but there are train strikes on the weekend we'll be travelling!
In October we'll be heading back to Disneyland Paris for the full Halloween experience!
Next year I'm hoping to go to Amsterdam and Italy, but I haven't fully planned those trips yet.
